"Of all the forms of expression, theatre seems to me the most modern because it barely felt the need to change. Very little has changed since Euripides and Aristophanes. Lets think of painting and sculpture. They frequently overlap with decorations, while films gradually move further away from film-making and get closer to the lonely black box. Theatre is some kind of reverted taboo, an ancestral need, which has never changed in mankind. (...) The only means mankind has to struggle against atrocities perpetrated throughout the world is to continue to do what one believes in. Whether this is art or not, it is a different matter. Talent is for the few, but everyone needs to commit to be good craftsmen".
